William Alie Macrae-Smith

William Alie Macrae-Smith, 77, formerly of Camas-Washougal, WA for 45 years and Port Commissioner of Camas-Washougal, passed away in Eagle, ID on July 12, 2019. He was born in Bellingham, WA on Nov. 27, 1941. William retired as the owner of Paragon Mortgage and Realty and was VP of Washington State Bank and Riverview Community Bank.

He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of Toastmasters, Zion Lutheran Church Council, and the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce.

William enjoyed trips to Hawaii, following the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, learning about his Scottish heritage, all things Porsche and spending time with his family.

William is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Jeannie Macrae-Smith; daughter, Melissa (Michael) Cummings; son, William E. (Marci) Macrae-Smith; grandchildren, Karalynn (Nathan) Lee, Max Schmid, Eleanor Schmid, Nora Macrae-Smith, Megan Macrae-Smith, Bonny Macrae-Smith and Claire Macare-Smith; and his first great-grandchild is due in January 2020. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Jacobsen.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty McCrillis and Dorothy Kahwaty; and his brother, John Macrae-Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Sat., Aug. 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas.
