Twyla Jean Wilcox
It is with deep sorrow and much sadness that we announce the passing of Twyla Jean Wilcox on Jan. 6, 2024. She was born in Beardstown, IL, to Werner and Josephine Lovecamp on May 18, 1942. Twyla will be missed terribly by all who knew her. She came from a family of five sisters whom were very close. They all grew up in the Camas-Washougal area.
Twyla worked in the banking business pretty much all her working years before retiring in her mid-SOs. She loved going on campouts and spending time with many family and friends. She and Mike loved having gettogethers at their beautiful home on Mount Norway, as well as hosting many weddings, birthdays and Seahawks parties.
Twyla is survived by her daughter, Shelley Craig (Chris); stepdaughter, Kari Russell (Jay); stepson, Michael Wilcox, Jr. (Pam); grandson, Matthew Wilson (Holland); and her beloved great-granddaughter, Parker; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Michael Wilcox, Sr.; and son, Mark Wilson. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, at The Lacamas Lake Lodge, from 2 to 6 p.m. At Twyla’s request, everyone should wear jeans and flannels. Donations may be made to the Humane Society.
