Thomas Hamilton Goold

Thomas Hamilton Goold, 79, went to his heavenly home unexpectedly on July 18, 2022, due to complications during open heart surgery. Tom lived and loved strongly caring for his family, friends, and community.
Tom was born April 28, 1943, in Lewiston, ID, to Mackenzie and Sara Kathryn Goold. He graduated in 1961 from La Sierra High School in Sacramento and Washington State University/Pullman in 1967 becoming a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.
Tom served in the U.S. Army from 1967-69. He then worked for Los Angeles Park Department and in 1972 joined the Portland Park Bureau returning to the Pacific Northwest he loved.
Tom then returned to WSU obtaining his teaching credential in both Washington and Oregon settling in teaching and continued as a substitute teacher through the end of the 2022 school year.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Hays Goold; and loving sisters, Patricia Flug of Seattle and Cinda Redman of Vancouver.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13th 2:00 at the Fairway Village Clubhouse in Vancouver.
