John Stuart Scott

John Stuart Scott died on Sept. 24, 2022 in Vancouver, WA. He was born March 8, 1941 in Vancouver, WA, to parents Lloyd and Betty Scott. John attended Vancouver High School and graduated in 1959. He attended Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. In 1966 John married his wife of 56 years, Judy Kidwell.
John was the third generation owner of Washougal Lumber where he retired in 1998. During his tenure at Washougal Lumber he was awarded the Businessman of the Year from the Camas/Washougal Chamber of Commerce.
During his life John enjoyed traveling in his camper and motorhome. One of his favorite places to travel to was Palm Springs because of the warm and sunny weather. John loved working on and driving his yellow 1933 Ford Coupe. He showed his Ford in car shows and enjoyed driving in rod runs.
John is survived by his wife, Judy Scott; his two boys, Brett (Laney) and Kevin (Jennifer); and four grandchildren, Sierra, Ryken, Madisyn and Drew.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Park Hill Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at the Heathman Lodge, Vancouver, WA from 3-5 p.m.
