Survey: Washougal residents satisfied with services

Washougal residents have a positive overall perception of their city but would like to see improved street maintenance and economic development efforts, according to the results of a community survey.

Washougal Councilwoman Tia Robertson gets hands-on firefighting experience

Tia Robertson warily eyed the ladder perched on the side of the eight-story building in front of her with a mixture of trepidation and exhilaration, noting that the situation put two of her deep-seeded convictions into conflict with one another. On one hand, she is terrified of heights, but on the other hand, she is loath to turn away from a good-natured goading.

Washougal school board president stepping down

Washougal School Board President Angela Hancock will step down from the board later this month, citing “changing personal priorities that require more of (her) attention.”
