Students help decorate governor’s tree

Second grade art students at Columbia River Gorge Elementary (CRGE) are already getting into the holiday spirit by creating ornaments for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s holiday tree.

My, my, how can you resist it?

The summer of 2018 release of the movie, “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” — a sequel to the popular movie adaptation of the stage musical “Mamma Mia!” — may have left some folks burnt out on ABBA, considering the Swedish pop group’s tunes color most of the story’s arc.

Jemtegaard parents relive middle school

Jemtegaard Middle School (JMS) students flipped the switch on the classic “Take Your Child to Work” day, Oct. 11, inviting their parents to join them in their classrooms for an entire day of middle school.

Washougal School Board appoints newest director

The Washougal School Board has replaced longtime director Elaine Pfeifer, who resigned in July, with a Washougal mother of two who has worked in several Washougal schools and is an active school district volunteer.

Camas High senior helps community speak computer

Can everyone learn to program computers? A Camas High senior believes they can, and he’s hoping to help them on their way with a free “Everyone Should Learn to Code” class at the Camas Public Library.
