WSD’s fee plan shocks Washougal city leaders

The Washougal City Council has approved a Washougal School District plan that will reduce residential impact fees, which help fund school facility needs related to the city’s growth, to $0 in 2023.

Washougal to stock schools with opioid overdose-reversal medication

Alexander Cook’s older brother, Daniel, passed away earlier this year as a result of an opioid overdose. Cook was devastated, of course, but at the same time, he had long since come to terms with the fact that in some ways, the person that he knew and loved had already been gone for some time.

Washougal School Board eyes fate of levies

Washougal School District voters may soon decide the fate of two local school district levies that help fund programs, activities, athletics, technology, maintenance and safety needs not covered by state or federal funds.
