Camas Plein Air event returns to downtown Camas Saturday

People can watch artists paint outdoors at various points along Northeast Fourth Avenue and other main downtown Camas streets from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., then attend an artist reception at RedDoor Gallery, 411 N.E. Dallas Street, from 4 to 6 p.m. to see the finished art, meet the artists and view an awards ceremony.

Camas eyes bringing back popular parklets

The city of Camas is exploring the possibility of bringing back parklets, three years after rescinding the operating permits for the open-air eating spaces introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Library launches card-design contest

The Camas Public Library is offering a library card-design contest throughout September, which is the American Library Association’s Library Card Sign-up Month. The library will accept designs until 5 p.m. Sept. 30.
