Rod Raunig and Alisa Wise have reached the finish line of their coaching careers at Camas High School. Wise has been the head track and field coach for 20 years. Raunig came on board 17 years ago, and has been the head boys coach for the past 10 years. Both will continue to teach at the school while pursusing new aspirations.

Alyssa Tomasini collected 51 hits to break the school's single season hits record set by Amee Aarhus in 2012. Tomasini's efforts helped Camas win four of its last six games to finish in fourth place at state for the second time in four years.

Hannah Gianan made it to the state championship match for the fourth time in her Camas High School career May 27, at the Columbia Basin Racquet Club in Richland. She added another second place singles medal to the doubles titles she won as a sophomore and a freshman.

Emma Cox admires one of her longest drives in the state tournament May 26, on the MeadowWood course in Liberty Lake. The CHS sophomore shot a 75 in the first round and a 73 in the finals to tie for third place with a 148.

Destined for greatness

After an early exit from the playoffs last season, the Camas High School softball team is going back to the state tournament for the third time in four years Friday and Saturday at the Merkel Sports Complex in Spokane.
