Camas golfers open league play with win over Heritage

After missing one of the first matches of the season due to back pain, the Camas High Papermakers’ No. 1 golfer, Owen Huntington, returned to the tee in the team’s first league match, Thursday, Sept. 13, against Heritage High.

Camas back on track

Camas High’s running backs were rolling at Doc Harris Stadium Friday, Sept. 7, as the Papermakers got their winning football program back on track, beating the Hazen High Highlanders 52-0.

Panthers run out of steam in loss to Prairie Falcons

After a thrilling season-opener victory over Hudson’s Bay in Vancouver Aug. 31, the Washougal Panthers football team lost a close non-league home game, falling 28-21 to the Prairie High Falcons on Friday, Sept. 7.

This is Sparta!

Two weeks after the Washougal National motocross extravaganza, the legendary Washougal motocross track transformed itself into the ultimate obstacle course for endurance athletes. On Saturday, Aug. 11, 7,200 athletes at Washougal MX Park ran, climbed over walls, took on mud pools, slid and even crawled under barbed wire while competing in the seventh annual Spartan Portland Sprint, one of 200 Spartan Race events now held in more than 30 countries.
