Swimmers strive to keep state streak alive

The head coach of a Camas High boys’ swim team that won back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 2018 is enjoying training the current Papermakers, as well as Washougal High Panthers who also have competed at the state level.

The Washougal girls basketball team had the honor of playing some of the best teams in the nation at the eighth annual Jerry Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas, Dec. 18 through Dec. 21.

Papermakers defeat top-ranked Lions

With two minutes left in a Dec. 11 game against the Camas Papermakers, the West Linn Lions girls basketball team — Oregon’s top-ranked 6A team — took a five-point lead and appeared to be in control of the young Papermaker squad.
