The 14th annual Student Stride for Education had record participation levels, with 631 toeing the line to raise $17,000 for classroom grants and scholarships in Washougal. "We are absolutely thrilled to see the community involvement in this event because it represents a commitment to enhancing the quality of education in our community by families and businesses," said Stephanie Eakins, event director. "Student runners and 5K run/walk participation fund the event, while our generous sponsors make up the total amount raised for classrooms."
