In one short month, ballots for the General Election will be due. During the next 30-or-so days, many voters will be trying to absorb all of the information and details about candidates’ backgrounds, opinions and goals that they possibly can. Given the diversity of candidates and positions, from state and U.S. representative and senator, to Clark County Councilor and Skamania County Commissioner, this task can be overwhelming, to say the least.
In September 2014 the Washougal City Council voted to approve the $599,000 purchase of approximately 17 acres west of 32nd and Q streets from the Schmid family, with the goal of turning the 17.81 acre property into what will become the city’s largest park.
