Vandalism outrages Dorothy Fox community Recently, Dorothy Fox Elementary School was vandalized. Someone spray painted random graffiti on most of the playground walls.
Each day, thousands of men and women of the U.S. Military's Guard and Reserve units are serving their country through active deployment. They have left behind their families, their homes and their civilian jobs to fulfill this commitment.
More than 60 years ago, a local man who had a true entrepreneurial spirit and what absolutely had to be a love of music and the industry itself built a live music dance hall and roller skating rink in Camas.
Unhappy about Washougal utility rates I don't know if you have noticed, but Washougal residents' water, sewer and storm water bill has gone up and will continue to do so each year from 2011 to 2015. The people living outside of the city limits will be paying even more.
Keep Camas-Washougal lovely I've heard lots lately about the additional trainloads of coal slated to pass through the Camas-Washougal area soon.

In Camas and Washougal, the sounds of trains passing through our communities have become almost commonplace. Each day we see and hear them go by, often as we wait for the train cars to clear local BNSF railroad crossings. We may not like them much, but we live with them because they are just one aspect of these two communities that have so many other great qualities.
No coal trains in our cities If the coal companies get their way, there will be 20 or more mile-long coal trains every day going through Camas and Washougal, resulting in coal air pollution, excessive noise, and horrible traffic jams.
It's hard to believe that it's been nearly a decade since the Jack, Will and Rob Youth Center opened its doors to the Camas community.
