'Unexamined' assumptions about the concealed carry license In her Aug. 19 Letter to the Editor, "Obtaining conceal/carry license is too easy," Joanne Pinelli expressed concern that it is "too easy" to obtain a concealed carry license in Washington. She expressed her aversion to guns, but failed to define what, exactly, the problem is with the concealed license process.

School districts make safety a top priority

It's hard to believe, but the start of the new school year is right around the corner. A summer filled with swimming, flip flops, outdoor adventures and carefree fun will soon be gone.
