Washougal councilwoman questions appointments

Washougal City Councilwoman Michelle Wagner said during the Council’s Oct. 14 meeting that she believes the city of Washougal did not adequately advertise for open positions on the City’s planning commission.

Hogan calls for new revenues to fund police positions

Camas Mayor Steve Hogan is calling on Camas City Council members to approve new revenue sources that will keep a “status quo” budget for the City in 2025 and 2026, and also provide enough revenues to hire three new Camas Police Department supervisors.

Port focuses on EV charger push

Port of Camas-Washougal Commissioner Cassi Marshall is calling for the Port to brainstorm ways to effectively market its new electric vehicle (EV) charging station in an effort to convince potential customers to drive “a bit off of their regular route.”

Public meetings: Oct. 24-30, 2024

Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas. The meeting also will be livestreamed, with video available on the district’s website.
