St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Washougal names new vicar

Annie Calhoun made a significant life transition in 2008 when she decided to leave her longtime career in textbook publishing to become a reverend. She made another one earlier this year when she decided to leave her lifelong Southern California home to embark on a new adventure in the Pacific Northwest.

Handmade holidays: Washougal artists open studios

Angela Swanson discovered her passion for art relatively later in life. The former financial consultant and urban planner started painting in 2017 and has been selling her work for only two years.

Couple launches Washougal Songcraft Festival to promote local songwriting, performing arts

Washougal residents Christopher and Stephanie Corbell visited Ashland, Oregon, and its famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival, for the first time earlier this year and were impressed with what they saw — not only the prestigious acting company’s production of “The Tempest,” but the way the small town has incorporated the festival into its cultural identity.

Camas throws a ‘pumpkin party’

Camas Parks and Recreation brought its popular Pumpkin Party (formerly known as Family Halloween Night) back to the city this month after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
