Jemtegaard trail threatened by erosion

Less than three years after it opened for public use, Washougal’s Jemtegaard Trail is being threatened by “significant erosion” of the Gibbons Creek bank.

City council, mayoral candidates sound off at forum

Candidates running for city council and mayoral positions in Camas and Washougal turned out for the League of Women Voters of Clark County’s recent candidate forum, held Wednesday, Oct. 4, held at Vancouver Community Library, to speak to their strengths and comment on issues ranging from the need for more affordable housing and measures to address climate change to land-use planning, crime rates and engaging the public in local government.

Aerospace firm eyes expansion in Washougal

A California-based aerospace manufacturer has made an offer to purchase a 3.4-acre lot in the Port of Camas-Washougal’s industrial park, where it plans to construct a 16,000-square-foot facility that would bring at least 100 jobs to east Clark County.

Camas Council considers $479K library contract

Camas City Council members are set to approve a $479,000 consultant contract with the Seattle-based Johnston Architects to help “refresh and reimagine” the Camas Public Library.
