‘Time to break out of COVID mindset’

David Stuebe has been trying to help “revitalize” downtown Washougal and foster positive community engagement since being appointed to the Washougal City Council earlier this year. Now that statewide COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, Stuebe believes the city and its businesses can’t afford to wait to take action.

City of Camas hires interim administrator

On July 6, three days before Camas City Administrator Jamal Fox was set to leave his position, the Camas City Council voted unanimously to approve a contract with EXIGY, LLC Principal Jeff Swanson, to be the city’s interim city administrator for the next nine to 12 months.

Camas City Council candidates face off ahead of primary election

Candidates vying for two positions on the Camas City Council shared their views on everything from the city’s need for affordable housing and the future of Camas’ parks and open spaces to racial inequities and policing accountability during a July 10 online candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Clark County.

Paul Greenlee is a longtime Washougal City Council member who is trying to “turn a bunch of garage doors into a community” and “bring people together.” Rochelle Ramos is a longtime community volunteer who is hoping to bring a “fresh perspective” to the city’s pressing issues. Both of them believe they can succeed as Washougal’s next mayor.
