Police investigating fake Washougal High Instagram account

The Washougal Police Department (WPD) is investigating the origins of a fake Washougal High School Instagram page that contained inappropriate material encouraging unsafe behavior and specific acts of vandalism before being deleted.

Washougal city officials set 2022 goals

City of Washougal leaders are optimistic that they can achieve most or all of their primary objectives in 2022 as they continue to embrace “the new normal” created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

After year of hardships, Camas library has ‘very successful’ book sale

The city of Camas’ annual Hometown Holidays celebration comes with its own set of traditions: taking photos with Santa, enjoying the beauty of the lighted holiday tree in front of the LIberty Theatre, grabbing a cup of hot cocoa at Journey Church, listening to Camas student bands and browsing tables lined with used books inside the Camas Public Library’s second-story meeting rooms.

Washougal students bring radio play back for holiday

The Washougal School District Soundstage performing arts club put on three three radio plays during the 2020-21 school year, performances that received praise from parents, district employees and other community members. The club’s production of “A Christmas Carol” was especially popular, garnering more than 1,000 clicks on the district website.

Public meetings for week of Dec. 9-15, 2021

Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Dennison Board Room at the Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas. The Board requires in-person meeting participants to adhere to COVID-19 mitigations, including wearing a face covering. The meeting will be livestreamed and available for later viewing on the school board’s YouTube channel.
