Washougal bodybuilder finds focus

Sitting on a plateau in Wyoming, immersed in a series of deeply emotional meditative thoughts, Jon Lee realized that he was dying. Not literally, of course. But he believed that he was killing himself, in a way. He felt as though something was missing from his life. Shaken by the recent death-by-sucide of a friend, he began to ask himself difficult questions.

Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a workshop at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, in the Dennison Board Room of the Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas. Washougal Art Festival returns Aug. 13

The Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance (WACA) will hold its seventh annual Washougal Art Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Reflection Plaza, 1703 Main Street, Washougal.

Report shows state of Camas’ public facilities

A consultant’s report on some of Camas’ best-known public facilities — including Camas City Hall, the Camas library and three Camas-Washougal fire stations — shows the city is facing building deficiencies worth $35 million, including $17 million for issues city leaders should address in the next five years.
