The owners and patients of Washougal Sport & Spine Physical Therapy will soon have some new views of downtown Washougal. The five-year old practice, owned by Steve McCarthy and Kimberly Williams, both of Camas, will relocate from 1700 Main St., Ste. 222 to Suite 136, within Washougal Town Square, in February 2014. McCarthy, a 1996 Camas High School graduate, said the new location will provide approximately 20 percent more space than the current suite -- around 2,750 square feet, compared to 2,200. A dinner and auction will raise money for Heroes Northwest. The second annual event will be held Friday, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., at Embassy Suites at the Portland Airport, 7900 N.E. 82nd Ave.

A corporation that handles the shipping of more than 50,000 cars, trucks, SUVs and vans a year has moved from downtown Camas to downtown Washougal. Transport Holding Co., Inc., has leased the 3,080-square-foot Suite 230, in Washougal Town Square. It operates six auto shipping brokerages. The founder of the Camas Camera Club will provide workshops for female photographers. The "Practice Camera Confidence" sessions, taught by Kirsten Muskat, will be held Thursdays, Nov. 7, 14 and 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at locations in Camas and Vancouver.
A local artist will soon open a studio and art gallery in downtown Camas. The space has been renovated for Elida Field, a professional artist, art instructor and consultant. She will host an open house Friday, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at 735 N.E. Sixth Ave. On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Field will be among the participants in the Clark County Open Studios Tour. People who want to drink beer or wine while watching a movie in downtown Camas will soon get their wish. The Liberty Theatre has received a beer and wine license from the Washington Liquor Control Board. Starting Friday, Nov. 15, beer and wine will be available to purchase at the Liberty refreshment area. "We are re-working the concession area so that there will be a beer and wine station on the west end of the counter," said Rand Thornsley, managing director of The Rootstock Capital Management LLC.

In a ranking conducted by The Oregonian and WorkplaceDynamics of Exton, Pa., 75 companies were named Oregon Top Workplaces for 2013. They were divided into 10 large companies 15 medium companies and 50 small companies by the number of people they employ in Oregon and southwest Washington.
