A smoothie and juice bar will soon open at 1887 Main, in downtown Washougal. Ginger Juice is expected to open in late September. Prior to that, there will be a "taste testing" event Thursday, Aug. 22, at 6:30 p.m., at Camas Friends Church, 1004 N.E. Fourth Ave.

A former Liberty Middle School football coach has launched a campaign to focus on local businesses through his office supplies company. Ty Lambert owns The Office Group, an online business. He sells ink and toner, office furniture, and cleaning and school supplies.
The owner of Hearth Wood Oven Bistro is preparing for his restaurant's third anniversary. David Garcia will offer some special menu items Friday and Saturday, from 4 to 9 p.m. They include Osso Bucco (a slow roasted pork shank) and pan fried sea scallops.
Vendors are currently being sought for the inaugural Clark County Women's Expo, set for Sept. 14 and 15, at the Clark County Event Center in Ridgefield. Vendors will showcase retail items and services, community services and programs, and educational and business opportunities.
A Camas company is increasing its exposure on a regional, national and global level. Focus Designs Inc. owners Daniel Wood, David Martschinske and Rick Johannessen have opened an office in downtown Camas. "All the creative stuff happens here," Martschinske said. Research and development occurs in Camas, while manufacturing of the Self Balancing Unicycle happens in China. "Right now, the unicycle encompasses a majority of our efforts," Martschinske said. "We are, however, spending about 20 percent of our time expanding new ways to repackage this technology."
A local business offers a variety of services on cars and trucks. Camas Auto Repair, which opened in March 2012, provides oil changes, tune-ups and engine rebuilds, as well as air conditioning, brakes, shocks and transmissions services.
The owners of the Camas Hotel will soon be ready to show the results of a third floor renovation project. Tom and Karen Hall will host an open house during the First Friday festivities, from 5 to 8 p.m. Snacks and tours will be available. The project has involved taking out six single "bachelor" rooms and adding one king and two queen rooms with bathrooms.
