For the seventh consecutive year, Lacamas Community Credit Union will sponsor two free community shred days in May. The Clark County shred day is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the 192nd Avenue Financial Center, located at 19200 S.E. 31st St., in the Fisher's Landing area of Camas.
Five Clark County leaders joined the Clark College Alumni Association board of directors. They are Jay Gilberg, class of 1978, of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Mari Jessup, '12, of Horenstein Law Group, Chandra Chase, '02, of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Carson Legree of Clark College and Jennifer Campbell, '13, an award-winning Clark student. Each new board member will serve a three-year term and work on a variety of projects including alumni membership recruitment, on- and off-campus fundraising events, Clark College's Outstanding Alumni Award recognition and the annual Alumni-Student Dinner.

Seventeen businesses will be honored Wednesday for their commitment to environmental protection by participating in Clark County's Green Business Program. The third annual Green Business Showcase will recognize new program participants, as well as businesses that continue to reduce energy use, promote recycling, manage polluted storm runoff and implement other sustainable practices.
Marcie Dole shoots like a mom. She recently opened a photography studio in downtown Camas. Dole, a mother of three, takes portraits of high school seniors, bridal showers, golf tournaments, birthday and anniversary parties, as well as retirement and award ceremonies.

The staff of the Vancouver Vision Clinic in downtown Camas recently joked that they needed sunglasses when they moved from a basement level office to desks surrounded by windows. The ample amounts of natural light, on the street level, are at 329 N.E. Sixth Ave. The move from 405 N.E. Sixth Ave., occurred March 3. Dr. Raj Patel and Dr. Derek McTyier own the building and the practice. The new office has three exam rooms, compared to one at the former location. Riverview Community Bank recently announced the promotion of Daniel Cox to executive vice president and chief credit officer by the board of directors. Leadership Clark County is hosting a free information meeting on Tuesday, March 18 for candidates interested in learning more about the community leadership program and applying to enter the class of 2015.
The Urology Clinic of Southwest Washington and its three urologists, Dr. Adrienne Heckler, Dr. Eric Kline, and Dr. Terry Milam, recently agreed to join The Vancouver Clinic. The goal is to integrate with The Vancouver Clinic by May 1. Dr. Douglas Masson, a Camas resident and president of The Urology Clinic, described joining The Vancouver Clinic as "the best possible way to continue to serve our patients."
