The Clark College Foundation is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding and Rising Star Alumni Awards. Nomination forms are available until Monday, September 23, 2024. The awardees will be chosen by the Clark College Foundation Board of Directors Alumni Relations Committee and celebrated at an event set for Nov. 6, at the Hilton in Vancouver.

The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes the significant contributions of Clark College alumni to the community. Eligibility does not require a degree or certificate; alumni status is granted to individuals who have completed at least one class at Clark College. The nomination process has been simplified, no longer requiring letters of recommendation, focusing instead on how nominees embody Clark College’s mission of fostering an inclusive, equitable, and vibrant community.

The Rising Star Alumni Award targets alumni aged 35 and under, spotlighting innovation, community service, and leadership potential. Last year, Alan Hwang, CEO of Riff_ and President of the Columbia River Economic Development Council, was honored with this award.

Local businesses are encouraged to recognize Clark College alumni within their leadership and development teams, and all former students are invited to nominate peers who inspire and contribute to a brighter future.
