The city of Camas’ annual drawdown of Lacamas Lake and Round Lake is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16.
The City will reduce the total level of the lakes by approximately 6 feet, in order to achieve the level needed to facilitate dam inspections and repairs.
The drawdown is expected to last through Friday, Sept. 27.
Once inspections and repairs have taken place, the process to refill the lakes to normal levels is tentatively scheduled to begin Oct. 28. Officials expect this process will take several weeks, depending on rainfall volumes.
