18th annual Camas Pumpkin Pageant set for Friday, Oct. 4

The 18th annual Camas Pumpkin Pageant will take place during the Downtown Camas Association’s monthly First Friday celebration in downtown Camas, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

Participating downtown businesses will carve or decorate pumpkins. Participants can vote for their favorites and enter to win fall-themed prizes.

The PIXAR-themed First Friday also will feature a costume contest — come dressed as your favorite PIXAR character and enter to win prizes, including an award for “best group costume.” The contest begins at 7 p.m. at Journey Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave., in downtown Camas. Participants should sign up at Journey Church ahead of the contest, between 5 and 6:45 p.m.
