The Camas Public Library has launched its annual Summer Reading Program, which will run through Aug. 17.

This year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library” and the program invites readers of all ages to join in the fun and read for 40 days throughout the summer.

Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes for every 10 days they read, making this an engaging and rewarding way to enjoy the summer months. The program aims to foster a love of reading and provide a community-wide activity that everyone can enjoy, from children and teens to adults.

“We’re thrilled to kick off our Summer Reading program again this year,” said Camas Public Library Director Connie Urquhart. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to keep kids engaged with reading throughout the summer months, preventing the ‘summer slide’ and fostering a love of learning. But it’s not just for kids. Our program is for all ages, because reading is a lifelong adventure.”

The Library will also be hosting many fun and engaging events all summer long. Visit CamasPL.org/srp for more details about the Summer Reading Program and our full calendar of events.
