Annual ‘National Night Out’ event coming to Washougal

The city of Washougal will hold its third annual National Night Out event at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Hathaway Park, located at 732 25th St., Washougal.

The event will feature ice cream, a dunk tank, games, and a three-dimensional screening of the 2001 Pixar film “Monsters Inc.” 

“This event is a testament to the commitment of the Washougal Police Department to engage with our community in a positive and impactful way,” said Wahsougal Police Chief Wendi Steinbronn. “We look forward to connecting with residents, enjoying some great activities, and working together to ensure a safer, more connected Washougal.”

National Night Out is a nationwide event designed to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and communities.

“National Night Out is a prime example of our increased investment in community engagement, as outlined in our strategic plan,” said Rose Jewell, the City’s community engagement manager. “By hosting events like this, we’re bringing our community together. We’re excited to offer a fun and meaningful experience that aligns with our ongoing efforts to support and enhance community connections.”
