The popular Movies in the Park series coordinated by Camas Parks and Recreation kicked off Aug. 2, at a new location — Dorothy Fox Elementary School, 2623 N.W. Sierra St., Camas — due to the ongoing construction at Crown Park.
The free, family-friendly movie series runs through Aug. 30, and includes: “Wonka” (PG) at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9; “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (PG) at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16; “Wish (PG) at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23; and “Shrek (PG) at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30.
Attendees are welcome to bring food, chairs or blankets for seating and should note that alcohol and pets are not allowed at this site.
The free “Movies in the Park” event is sponsored by Camas United Methodist Church, Discovery Dental and Queer Youth Resource Center.
