Washougal National sets viewership record

The 2024 Washougal National motocross event, held July 20 at the Washougal Motocross Park, set a new viewership record for the AMA Pro Motocross Championship season.

The race attracted an average viewership of 1,062,000 across NBC and Peacock, marking the highest audience numbers of the 2024 Pro Motocross season to date, according to Transworld Motocross.

“The Washougal National in Washington state captivated fans and showcased the sport’s growing popularity,” Transworld Motocross stated on its website. “The substantial viewership figures reflect a burgeoning interest in SuperMotocross racing, further solidifying the sport’s place in the hearts of motorsports enthusiasts. … This statistic not only underscores the event’s success, but also sets a new benchmark for future races in the series.”

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton won the 450 Class race, while Haiden Deegan of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing emerged victorious in the 250 Class race.
