Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable homeownership in Clark County, celebrated a momentous occasion at their recent annual Raising the Roof Benefit Breakfast.

This event brought together community members, partners, and supporters to share inspiring stories of Habitat’s programs, current and future homeowners, and ongoing projects like Johnson Village, a future subdivision for nine families. The highlight of the morning was the announcement of Evergreen Habitat’s goal: to serve the next 100 families in Clark County through upcoming projects.

In an extraordinary show of support for this mission, the Ed and Dollie Lynch Fund at the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington made a remarkable commitment by pledging a generous gift of $2.5 million over the next four years to Evergreen Habitat for Humanity. This donation will empower Evergreen Habitat to expand their reach and create homeownership opportunities for families in need across Clark County.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with Evergreen Habitat for Humanity embracing the community land trust model and committing to delivering over 100 permanent, organically affordable homes in Southwest Washington. We hope they are so successful with this, that in another four years, they will aspire to do even more,” said Michael Lynch, the son of Ed and Dollie Lynch.

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity’s commitment to providing affordable housing solutions has positively impacted families in Clark County. With the Ed and Dollie Lynch Fund donation, the organization will continue to expand its projects and initiatives, ensuring that even more families have access to safe, stable, and affordable homes.

The partnership between the Ed and Dollie Lynch Fund at the Community Foundation and Evergreen Habitat for Humanity embodies the spirit of community and compassion, setting an inspiring example for others to follow.
