Camas Salary Commission OKs stipend bump for mayor, councilors

The Camas Salary Commission has approved a 4.5% cost of living adjustment for members of the Camas City Council and Camas Mayor Steve Hogan. 

On Sept. 13, the Commission reviewed data and recommended increasing the mayor’s and council members’ monthly stipends going into 2023. 

On Nov. 3, the Commission approved the recommendations from the September meeting and voted to increase the mayor’s monthly stipend from $2,750 to $2,874 and to increase the council members’ stipends from $1,000 a month to $1,045 a month.
The Commission also voted to keep the technology stipend the same for the mayor ($100 a month) and the council members ($75 a month), as well as to keep the mayor’s monthly $300 vehicle stipend the same going into 2023.
