Washougal resident Cheung Ching Ng will participate in the 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship golf tournament, to be held from Saturday, July 30, to Thursday, Aug. 4, at Anchorage Golf Course in Anchorage, Alaska.
Ng earned her tournament invitation by finishing in a tie for second place at a qualifying event on Thursday, July 7, at Fairwood Golf & Country Club in Renton, Wash. She shot 8-over 79, matching the score of Jackie Little of Procter, British Columbia, six strokes behind the winner, Rosie Cook of Bend, Oregon.
Ng is “a regular competitor on the Oregon Golf Association circuit,” according to a news release issued by Washington Golf.
