Latest News, News The Unite! Washougal Community Coalition will hold a “Guiding Good Choices” virtual workshop series from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Thursday from Jan. 13 to Feb. 10.
“Guiding Good Choices has been available in our community for several years and this evidence based workshop for parents and/or caregivers of youth ages 9 to 14,” the Washougal School District said in a news release. “It provides opportunities to enhance family communication skills, set healthy boundaries and rules, help increase family bonding, learn additional ways to manage conflict and increase protective factors.”
Participants will learn skills to communicate with their families, set healthy rules and boundaries, manage conflict, bond with their child or children, and increase protective factors, according to Unite! Washougal.
Participants will receive a weekly workshop kit that includes worksheets, family activities and gift cards to local Washougal restaurants. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion for attending all five classes.
