A Washougal man was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Southeast 164th Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
According to police, Connor Harvey, 26, was driving a 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle east on Highway 14, and was driving between lanes when a 2014 Toyota Tacoma pickup, which was traveling east in the right lane, merged into the left lane, striking Harvey’s motorcycle — which then struck a 2010 Mazda 3 sedan traveling east in the left lane.
Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Jason Guillory, 51, of Vancouver, the pickup driver, and Joseph Thompson, 35, of Camas, the driver of the Mazda, were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
State troopers cited lane-splitting and speed as the cause of the crash.
