A fire believed to have originated in the kitchen destroyed a Camas home on Saturday, April 24. The home’s occupants were not injured.
Camas-Washougal Fire Department personnel responded to a structure fire in the 600 block of Northwest Hill Street at 6:50 p.m. April 24. Upon arrival, crews discovered a small, one-story home ablaze, with fire and smoke coming through the windows and roof.
Firefighters, assisted by crews from the Vancouver Fire Department, quickly controlled the blaze. The home and its contents were considered a total loss.
