Sinclair can help area be less divisive

This year’s election is like none we have ever seen before. In the 18th Legislative District area, mostly rural and North Clark County, we really need people to get over their feelings of anger and resentment and to once again agree to just talk, converse and come to mutual decisions about how we wish to live.

We need this desperately in our state representatives. If we can get them to reach across the aisle and to look to working with the other side, much can be accomplished.

And this is why I encourage you to vote for Donna Sinclair for 18th Legislative District. She has a long history of dealing with people, students and parents and wants to help you.

Help children get ready for school with eye exam

As parents, many of us worry about our kids spending too much time on computer and phone screens, especially in this unique period of COVID-19 and online school days.

August was Children’s Vision and Learning month in Washington and served as a great reminder to get your kid’s vision evaluated to start the year off right.

Eye exams can help detect and address eye strain issues your child may be experiencing due to increased screen time. It’s likely you won’t find a public screening option this fall due to schools shifting to remote learning. So, help your child get ready for school and put it on your back-to- school list along with regular school supplies.

We have many qualified optometrists in our community and they will help your student get off to a good start in a challenging school year. Visit eyes.org to find one.
