Officials who promote anti-government violence must be held accountable
According to a recent report, six-term Washington State Rep. Matt Shea, as a leader of the right-wing Patriot Movement, planned, engaged in and promoted a total of three armed conflicts of political violence against the United States government between 2014 and 2016.
These findings are disturbing, and elected officials who embrace and promote anti-government violence need to be taken seriously, closely monitored and held accountable.
