LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: Preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5 years will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20 , and Tuesday, Sept. 24. Slavic storytime (in Russian and Ukrainian) will begin at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23. Korean storytime will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23. Tiny Tots Storytime will be held at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25. Baby Storytime will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. The Crochet Club will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. The LEGO Club will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. Sunrise Youth Yoga for pre-kindergarteners will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Washougal Community Library: Toddler Storytime for ages 18 to 36 months will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20. Family Storytime for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and children will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Baby Storytime for ages 0 to 18 months will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25. Teen Night, which is held every third Friday of the month, will offer teens the chance to play games, hold trivia contests, listen to music and craft from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. Family Storytime, for families with children ages 0 to 6 years, will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. A chair yoga class, designed for beginners or anyone looking for a gentle re-entry into yoga, will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: The Northwest Oil Painters Guild will show their art work throughout September at the Second Story Gallery, located on the second floor of the Camas Public Library. The art is available for viewing during regular library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Washougal Senior Center: Meals on Wheels provides coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and serves lunch at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The center hosts a food bank at 11 a.m. on Mondays. Activities offered during the week include: cribbage, bingo, bunco, pinochle, billiards, watercolor painting and exercise classes. A breakfast fundraiser, to support Washougal Community Center activities, is held on the last Friday of each month (except November and December) from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5. A potluck is held on the first Friday of each month. Refuel Friday, sponsored by local churches and nonprofits, is offered from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday. Seniors and Law Enforcement Together: The SALT group will meet from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Sept. 23, at the Camas Police Department, 2100 N.E. Third Ave., Camas. The September meetings will focus on changes related to age and neurological conditions; staying safe behind the wheel; and assessing your driving skills with hands-on activities and assessments. SALT meetings are free and open to all seniors. Caregivers also are encouraged to attend.

CLUBS AND GROUPS

Community Garden Club of Camas-Washougal: The group meets at 1 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Camas Community Center, 1718 S.E. Seventh St., Camas. The next meeting, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, will feature horticulturist Stephen Murphy, who will talk about plant propagation. Refreshments will be served, and guests are welcome. General Federation of Women’s Clubs Camas-Washougal: The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month. The next meeting is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Camas Police Department, 2100 N.E. Third Ave., Camas.

Harvest Celebration: WSU Clark County Extension will host its 21st annual Harvest Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. The free event features nine farms showing the bounty of local agriculture and gives Clark County residents a chance to tour local farms and meet their area farmers. Camas Group Recovery: The group meets from 8 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sundays, at Camas Friends Church, 1004 N.E. Ione St.

Watercolorists group: The watercolor group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday, at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St. This is not an instructed class; however, there is a group critique at the end of the session. All are welcome.

NatureScaping of Southwest Washington: NatureScaping will host “The World of Wild Edible” class on how to harvest and use wild plant parts from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 21, at CASEE Center, Building B, Room 205, 11104 N.E. 149th Brush Prairie. Women Supporting Women: A support group for women, ages 55 and older, meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, at Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver. Led by Sandra Soleberg, this is a safe place for women to share hopes, dreams, fears, losses, living with illness, aging and loneliness.
