A 10-year-old boy who left home after having an argument with his mother rode his bicycle from Vancouver to Washougal and was found safe at a restaurant.
Vancouver Police Public Information Coordinator Kim Kapp said the call came in at about 3:03 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, regarding Nash Modin leaving home on a boys one speed bicycle.
When the Vancouver Police Department asked the public for help to locate Modin, the department mentioned he was wearing a bicycle helmet, a superheroes T-shirt and athletic shorts.
Washougal Police located Modin at the Jack in the Box, in Washougal, Wednesday, around 7 p.m., according to Washougal Police Detective Kate Tierney
Kapp said she did not know the route that Modin took to bicycle from Vancouver to Washougal.
“He didn’t know how to get home (from Washougal),” she said, Thursday. “Washougal police took him home, and we met with him there to ensure he was safe.”
