Oct. 7, 1930 ~ June 25, 2018
Our precious mother, Helen Elizabeth Bulkley (Betty), arrived in heaven June 25, 2018. She was a woman who was always filled with sweetness and devotion to her family and friends.
Betty was born in Tacoma, Washington, on Oct. 7, 1930, to Frank Lott and Helen Farr Lott. At the age of 2, with her sister Bunny, the family moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where Helen married Harry Moeller. Mom worked in a soda shop and, through a pen pal in Camas, she met Don Faler at the Liberty Theatre in 1945.
Betty enjoyed life, helping on the farm, camp cook in elk camp, the very best apple pies, years of tole painting and ceramics, a dedicated 4-H leader, hauling Ed and Pam to horse shows, rodeos and fun beach trips. Mom worked at Crown Zellerbach, she was a waitress and finally retired as bookkeeper from Danielson Thriftway in Washougal.
Betty married Robert Bulkley in 1973, blending their precious families. In retirement years, Mom and Bob enjoyed Arizona life and visiting grandchildren around the country.
She is survived by her loving family, son, Ed and Ladinea Faler; daughter, Pam and Tim Seekins; and Chris, Brian and Stephanie Bulkley. Mom was Grandma Betty to everyone who met her.
