Camas police are investigating two vehicle thefts and an attempted home burglary, and they are looking for a male suspect.

Around 8:20 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, Camas police were dispatched to a report of a truck that had been stolen from the Karcher North America parking lot, 4275 N.W. Pacific Rim Blvd., Camas.

En route to the call, the reported stolen vehicle was located, abandoned on state Route 14.

Camas units were then dispatched a short distance from that stolen vehicle, to a vehicle theft in progress at the 5400 block of Southwest Sixth Avenue.

The homeowner interrupted that theft and attempted residential burglary, and the suspect fled on foot.

Camas Police were assisted by Washougal Police, the Washington State Patrol, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Police. A K-9 track was also initiated, but the suspect was not located.

This information was first reported Nov. 22, at 4:04 p.m., and updated at 7:51 p.m.
