Local man is featured artist

Local artist Mike Smith will bring his unique, colorful style to the Camas Gallery this month.
His work contains worldwide themes and ideas, but the focus of his painting and sculpture remains the hill where he lives, according to a press release from the gallery.
Smith’s 30 year career has included nearly 100 solo exhibitions of watercolor, oil, acrylic, bronze, ceramic and printmaking work. His work is in public and private collections around the world.
The gallery will have a First Friday event April 7 to celebrate the exhibit from 5 to 8 p.m., with light refreshments served.
Camas Gallery is open from 11 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday, and located at 408 N.E. Fourth Avenue.
