Comprehensive traffic plan needed

Thanks to Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, for a recent meeting she coordinated to discuss comprehensive transportation solutions between Clark County and the Portland area. Ideas presented by five speakers were comprehensive to the entire metro area, multi-modal and represented a long-term approach.
The current approach to replace the I-5 bridge without establishing a comprehensive plan in addition to replacement of the I-5 is, in my opinion, very short-sighted. These types of meetings to re-establish momentum on solutions, and ultimately action, are essential and in line with the responsibility of our elected representatives.
