A 29-year-old man is hospitalized in serious, but stable condition, after being shot once in his right shoulder during an apparent domestic disturbance in Camas Wednesday afternoon.

Miguel Fernandez has what are considered to be non-life threatening injuries.

Camas Police responded at 5:03 p.m., to a shooting that occurred at 3345 S.E. Third Ave. Upon arrival, officers encountered Fernandez in front of the residence.
Matthew T. Turner, 23, was arrested for first degree assault, and he has been booked at the Clark County Jail.

Police have recovered a 30/30 lever action rifle, identified as the weapon used during the assault.

Camas Police say Fernandez is involved in a dating relationship with Turner’s sister. The three live together where the shooting occurred.
