Jerry was born on July 31, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Frank and Eunice Duley.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1967 in Germany. Jerry was discharged as a disabled veteran and moved to Washington where he worked at the Crown Zellerbach paper mill in Camas.
