Business The Clark County audit services manager is the newest member of the national Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council.
Larry Stafford will represent the Association of Local Government Auditors on the 31-member council. The association is comprised of more than 340 government audit organizations, including Clark County.
The council is responsible for advising the Governmental Accounting Standards Board on technical issues, project priorities and other matters. The board is an independent, private-sector organization that establishes accounting and financial reporting standards for state and local governments.
Stafford’s two-year term on the council will end Dec. 31, 2018.
