Excavator Rental Services lands on ‘Inc. 5000’

The owners of Excavator Rental Services LLC, of Camas, recently hosted a customer appreciation day and celebrated their inclusion on a list of successful companies.

Jerry and Mary Sauer welcomed customers and vendors to a pig roast Aug. 18, followed by a networking event for members of the Southwest Washington Contractors Association.

ERS was ranked 2,883rd on the Inc. magazine list of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America.

The list, which can be viewed at www.inc.com/inc5000, said ERS had a three-year growth rate of 120 percent, and its revenue was $8.6 million in 2015.

Jerry Sauer said the recognition is a direct reflection of the outstanding customers and employees.

“ERS is built on a culture where service is the utmost importance to both our customers and community,” he said. “We have been extremely fortunate to have assembled a team that embraces this culture.”

ERS, founded in 2005, offers rental services of heavy equipment, contractor tools and lawn and garden equipment.

According to a press release, companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora and Timberland gained national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

In May, the Sauers were named the Camas-Washougal Chamber’s “Businesspersons of the Year.”

Within the past two years, ERS added locations in Hood River and Wilsonville, Oregon. The Sauers also own Your Party & Event Center, in Camas and Hood River.

ERS employs 72 people within all of its locations and party divisions. Jerry Sauer said growth has been steadily doubling every two years, and there is a 45 percent projected increase for this year.
