Vancouver resident dies in motorcycle collision in Camas

No other vehicles were involved

A Vancouver resident was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle collision Sunday evening.

According to a report from the Camas Police Department, at approximately 9:40 p.m. emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash at the 4700 block of Northwest Lake Road.

The investigation revealed that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Northwest Lake Road when it veered to the left for unknown reasons and hit the cement curb. The 65-year-old driver, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle.

Police are withholding the name of the person who died, pending notification of family.

No other people or vehicles were involved in the collision.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is assisting CPD with the investigation.
